Sexy Man, Sexy Loafers

When I first spotted this guy, I thought he was handsome. When I got a look at his loafers, I thought he was HOT!

These are some of the SEXIEST loafers (that weren't Alden full strap or Brooks Brothers tassel) in a long time.  They were simply irresistable!

If you know what brand they are, do tell!

My Dirty Little Secret

If you think that someone who started a blog inspired by his "thing" for loafers has a closet full of them, you'd be wrong. Actually, my "collection" is quite lame - I only own four pairs, the most fancy being a pair of Cole-Haan's purchased at their outlet store.  Right now, I live vicariously through the loafers of others, though I am seriously considering expanding my "collection".

So what is a loafer lover like me to do?  Truth be told, I don't really know!  I tried to find out once by placing a personal ad back in the 80s and wrote about it here...  But that didn't really pan out.

I knew there were groups for guys with foot fetishes (I think one was called Foot Friends) but I couldn't imagine going to one of their parties.  What would would I do in a roomful of these guys and their feet - especially when I was so self-conscious about my own.  The thought of it was just too overwhelming for me to consider so I never investigated further.

Shoes and feet were never the focus of my sex life so I didn't feel compelled to incorporate them into it. I did buy my first boyfriend a pair of blue Sperry Topsiders.  Boat shoes were all the rage back then and I thought they were really sexy.  I had lusted after countless college guys who wore them, so I bought a pair for my boyfriend for Christmas.  I never told him why I'd bought them, and I never did anything with his feet - I just secretly enjoyed it when he wore them.

It wasn't until a couple years after that when I had my first taste of feet (literally).  At a get-together with some friends I was introduced to Marco.  He was  tan olive-skinned, hairy chested, and sexy, and we hit it off immediately.  After a night of barhopping and dancing, he invited me back to his dorm room where we proceeded to devour each other including me, at one point, sucking on the toes of his well-shaped feet.  That was the first time I'd ever done it and it just happened naturally.

Marco and I clicked and, when it came to sex, we were completely in synch. We were a couple for five years and  he was the first person I told about my "thing". He was the first person I've engaged in any sort of foot play with, and the second that I bought shoes - a pair of black, low vamp Cole-Haan Braganos.  Unfortunately, they just didn't fit him comfortably so back to Nordstrom they went.

So here I am, years later, still obsessing over loafers and the men who wear them, and only imagining what I would do  with them if the opportunity ever arose.  So, my dirty little secret isn't that I have a thing for loafers, it's that I'm pretty much a loafer virgin.

I'd love to hear from those who have more experience than I.  How did you meet your loafer-wearing men?  And what did you do with them?

The Beginning of Loaferotica

My passion for loafers goes back thirty years or so, but it wasn't until 2007 that I began to document it.  That was the year I started capturing my first loafer shots. I don't recall what prompted me, or if it was planned, but somehow I just happened to have my camera with me while out on my lunch hour.  I spotted a tall, distinguished gentleman in a charcoal pinstriped suit and, though he didn't know it, his loafers made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

He was at the corner chatting with an associate of his so he was distracted and didn't notice while I removed the camera from my pocket and turned it on.  My heart started racing as I quickly assessed where to position myself and how to get the shot without drawing attention to myself.  With my subject in the digital display, I snapped the photo and quickly walked away so I could review it.

Here is the result:

My very first loafter shot! (taken 4/4/2007)

What a thrill! I was so pleased with the result (and how relatively easy it was to do) that I knew I'd have to try it again.  From that point on I started going on lunchtime safaris, camera in tow, seeking out subjects to add to my collection.

Here are some more early shots:

Wanna see pics of who's wearing these loafers?  Sorry. I was much too timid back then to attempt it back then!  I'm very happy that is no longer the case.

Have you ever thought about taking photos of loafers you've while out in public?  Have you ever done it?

Loving The Low Vamp

When I decided to start photographing loafers, this is one of the first photos I captured. And I have to admit, I love everything about it - the sleekness of the shoe and the way it molds to his foot, the cuffed pinstiped trousers, and the ribbed cotton socks...perfection!

Another sexy low vamp shot and, if my memory is correct, these are the same loafers and owner featured in the first phote.

...and can you guess why this pair stopped me dead in my tracks?

What do you think of low vamp loafers?  Do you have any stories to share?

About Your Comments...

I am thrilled that you are reading my blog and I really appreciate your comments and feedback!

I have a small favor to ask...

If you choose to post a comment, please avoid choosing the "Anonymous" option.  Instead, I would prefer it if you choose the "Name/URL" option and make up a name.  Or, if the "Name/URL" option doesn't work for you, you can sign your "name" at the end of your comment.

Why? Because if I see several comments under one post from "Anonymous", it's difficult for me to tell whether or not they are from the same or a different person and makes it harder for me to respond.

You don't have to use your real name - a pseudonym is fine - and if you could use the same name for all of your comments, that would be great.  You can still remain anonymous, but giving yourself a "Name" (even if it's a made up one)  makes it easier for me (and others) to respond to your comments in a more personal way.

Thank you for your support.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Liking the Low Vamp

My fondness for Italian low vamps with thin soles dates back to the mid-80s, when I first acknowledged my attraction to loafers. I like them because they're sleek and show a bit more sock than some of the more traditional British or American styles.  And they seem easy to slip out of. They're not as popular as they were back then, but I still spot a pair every now and then...like today, when  I went out of my way to capture the pair pictured above.

What do you think of low vamps? Hot or not?
