Introducing...My Loafer Collection
A while back I wrote about my dirty little secret of having a paltry loafer collection. Well, a few months after buying my first pair of Aldens, my collection, thanks to eBay, has grown considerably...

Who Says Belgian Loafers are for Old Men?
I can count on one hand the number of men I've seen wearing Belgian Loafers in DC. And the two or three I have seen were quite a bit older than this guy.
Makes me wonder what made him decide to buy a pair to wear with his lovely blue socks.

This Daddy Wears Very Loose Loafers
While I love to see men slipping their loafers on and off and playing with them, it doesn't really matter to me if they're loose or not. But I know that for a lot of you readers and fellow loafer afficianados a loose loafer sighting can REALLY make your day.
A couple of days ago while heading to catch my bus, I spotted this horsebit wearing daddy headed in my direction. Of course I had to take a photo...it's become almost second nature for me.
As he passed, I turned around to catch another glimpse of him before I continued to the bus stop. When I looked down and saw how his heels were popping out of horsebit loafers that looked like they were at least a size too big, I decided I couldn't less this opportunity pass. I had to capture them in motion for you Loose Loafer Loafers! I don't know if you can tell from the video, but it looks like he's quite the heel crusher too.
Hope you enjoy!

Introducing...My Very First Aldens
If you thought that I'd have a closet full of loafers just because I created a blog called Loaferotica,...you'd be wrong.
Believe it or not, up until a few months ago, I had just four pairs of loafers to my name: a casual pair of Timberlands purchased on sale years ago; a pair of soft brown leather Kenneth Cole casuals; a pair of square-toed Kenneth Coles that I LOVED when purchased them back in the Nineties, but were now a spare pair collecting dust under my desk at work; and a lovely pair of relatively new Cole Haans that look great but kill my feet if I walk in them too long.
I hadn't spent a lot of time shopping for new shoes over the years because 1) I'm cheap frugal and the shoes I tend to like tend to be expensive, 2) when I do find a pair I like, they usually don't fit comfortably, and 3) I have the two pairs of comfy, dressy lace-ups that have been resoled twice and fit me like a glove (BUT, after MANY years, they are on their last leg, plus THEY ARE NOT LOAFERS).
So, back in November, after years of admiring and lusting for other men's Aldens/Brooks Brothers, I finally decided it was time to get a pair of my own. I'd heard you could find some great deals on eBay, but I had no idea what my correct size was. One evening, after work, I stopped by the nearby Brooks Brothers store to try on a pair of the burgundy cordovan full straps. The sales clerk took my measurements and determined my size to be a 10 1/2. When she returned with a pair from the stock room and removed them from the box, I was in love. They were gorgeous and I couldn't wait to sink my feet into them. Unfortunately, my anticipation was followed by disappointment. They looked great on but, when I walked in them, my heels popped out (and not in a good way). They were simply too wide. I asked if they came in other widths and the clerk said no. I knew that they did but I didn't press it - the clerk was obviously not an expert in shoes, so I knew this was not the place I'd be purchasing my dream loafers.
A few weeks later I ventured to the Alden shop. Here I knew I'd be met with expertise and selection. The sales associate measured my feet...again, I measured 10 1/2 but this time I was assigned a width - C. Finally, I'd be trying on my cordovan full straps in just the right size...or not. The 10 1/2C had some heel slippage. We tried the 10 1/2C in calfskin...not a match either - still slippage. Next up was a 10C in cordovan...
The fit was pretty good, the left shoe fit perfectly. The right foot was very close but no cigar - it pinched my pinky toe and, as much as I tried to ignore it, I couldn't justify plunking down $600 on a pair of shoes that caused discomfort.
The sales associate asked if I would be interested in trying the tassel loafers since, with the higher vamp, it might have a better fit. Of course, I had no objection and, as it turned out, the fit was better. Almost perfect but still with a little pinch in the right pinky toe. I spent quite a bit of time pacing back and forth, feeling them out, deciding whether or not I would take the plunge...and I did.

These Loafers Make Me Horny
![]() |
Tassels #1 |
These Alden tassels may be my favorite loafers of all time, or perhaps my second favorite (behind the Alden low vamp full strap)...I can't decide. What I am sure of is that, for me, they automatically increase the sexy factor of the man wearing them. He can be white, black, young, old, thick, thin...it doesn't matter.

Tassels #2 |
I'm immediately drawn to him and, if I'm able, will at least try to grab a few photos of him and his footwear. Sometimes they're men that the average person wouldn't consider attractive, or that I might not have given a second glance if they were dressed differently. Their loafers give these men an added degree of desirabilty, and I find myself wondering how far I would go with them - and their loafers - if the opportunity presented itself.
Tassels #3 |
Does anyone else get these feelings? Can someone wearing the right loafers make him more desirable to you?
Based on these photos alone, would you be willing to go out on a limb and entertain any of the above gents, sight unseen? Tell me who you would do, and I'll let you see who you selected in an upcoming post.

Why Are These Loafers So F**king Hot?
Alden low vamp, fulll-strap loafers are some of the sexiest shoes ever. The sight of them just drives me crazy and, recently, I have been especially obsessed with a particular pair that I came across last month on eBay.
They weren't my size so I didn't think about purchasing them, yet I kept returning to the auction page to look at them again and again.
The listing described them as well-worn - that was an understatement. Whoever owned these wore the HELL out of them - and that was a HUGE turn-on!
He'd let me smell the intoxicating aroma, built up from a long day at the law office or lobbying firm, and I'd massage his tired feet, stopping occasionally to bury my nose deep inside one of his beat up loafers. Drunk on the scent of leather mixed with sweat, I'd do anything he wanted.

What is the allure of these loafers? What makes me want to slip my feet inside of them even though they are a size and a half too big and wide for me? Why did I download photos of these loafers and pleasure myself while looking at them, lusting for them?
Why am I so obsessed? Why did I almost buy them even though I couldn't wear them in public?
Why are these loafers so fucking hot?
Do these loafers turn YOU on? I'd love to hear why (or why not).

And the size! 12 to be exact...and WIDE, had me salivating. I couldn't help but wonder about the man who wore these loafers. What did he look like? He had to be a big guy, I thought. At least two hundred pounds, and tall. I pictured him as wide-bodied with a full, heavy ass...probably an attorney or a stockbroker. And what did he wear with these? Navy blue suit? Charcoal gray pinstripes? Khakis? I fantasized about this mystery man and I knew, without a doubt, that if I saw him, I'd want him.
And he would tease me - play with his loafers, dangle them, slip in and out of them while I watched...and I'd be putty in his hands...and his feet.
